About me

I was a two sport athlete in high school participating in football and track at Servite High School in Anaheim Ca.  I continued both sports at Long Beach City College and tranferred to UCLA to following year.  I was a three year letterman in two sports and graduated with my bachelors in arts in psychology. I continued my education completing my masters degree in Physical Education which led to my current occupation as kinsesiology instructor at Long Beach City College. In addition I am a level 1 crossfit instructor and have coached track and field and football at the high school and collegiate level for over a decade.

Athletic Accomplishments

In high school I was named all-league and All-CIF honorable mention as a free safety. In track I set the Servite HS record in the 300IH at 37.81. I was twice named all-league in track and finished second at the CIF finals in the 300IH.

At LBCC I participated in football and track. I was a member of the Vikings’ 1996 Mission Conference championship squad and recorded 50 tackles from the free safety position. In track, I set the freshman record in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles at 50.73. I was South Coast Conference champ in the 400IH, and finished second at the Southern California and State finals .I also competed at the USA Junior Nationals and finished third.

At UCLA I was also a two-sport athlete. I was the backup free safety and a special teams performer in football. In track I was three time All-Pacific 10 Conference and an All-American (400IH) in addition to the team captain. I finished ninth in the 400IH at the 2000 NCAA Championships and earned the Ron Copeland Award as UCLA’s top hurdler. Later that summer I also qualified for the USA nationals in 2001 finishing with a ranking of 20th in the USA.
